About Us

MADURA (Mission for the Development of Underprivileged and Rural Societies) Foundation is a registered non‑profit based in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. Our aim is to bring the underprivileged and rural poor into the mainstream of development by undertaking and facilitating impactful initiatives across education, health, environment, and community development.

Our Objectives

Education & Skill Development

  • Provide and spread primary, secondary & higher education by collaborating with schools, colleges, institutions, libraries and research bodies.
  • Offer scholarships/financial help to poor rural/village people for education and overall development.
  • Provide skill training to rural unemployed youth with focus on women, tribals and the underprivileged; collaborate with institutes working in skill development for self‑employment and wage employment.
  • Identify and nurture talented children and youth in sports.

Sanitation, Health & Nutrition

  • Create means for providing medical assistance to people suffering from diseases, especially the poor and helpless.
  • Provide/facilitate health & nutrition services for women and children.
  • Encourage healthcare development and health promotion by conducting health camps and seminars.
  • Run Yoga/Stress‑management courses for mental health.

Environment

  • Work for tree plantation and pollution control.
  • Take up social forestry, joint forestry management and watershed development programmes.

Community Development

  • Provide help/shelter/facilities for older persons, orphan children and persons with disabilities.
  • Provide financial help to poor and helpless girls for their marriage.
  • Assist in disaster management, relief and rehabilitation.
  • Develop community resources like schools, hospitals, libraries and community halls.
  • Undertake other assignments for the general welfare of people.
  • Collaborate with other NGOs working towards similar goals.

Green Villages

Community Care

Support for elders, orphans and persons with disabilities; emergency relief and rehabilitation.

Sports & Talent

Early identification and nurturing of young talent in sports and extracurriculars.

Partnerships

Collaborations with like‑minded NGOs, schools and local bodies to scale impact.
